As it continues to use video and TV to bring about a change in fortune, AOL has upgraded its video search features with the blinkx video engine.
Claiming not only to be the ‘remote control for the video web’ and ‘the premier destination for online TV ‘ with ‘the world’s largest and most advanced engine’, blinkx offers an index of over 35 million hours of searchable video and more than 720 media partnerships, including national broadcasters, commercial media companies and private video libraries
The partnership with AOL is designed to expand the quantity and quality of the online giant’s video search results and also delivers integrated Safe Search tools that block adult oriented content from minors.
blinkx will incorporate AOL’s premium video assets into its current index of over 35 million hours of content, to make them more easily searchable and accessible to users around the world.
