Up and coming digital distribution purveyor GoDigital has snagged all on-demand rights to the Spanish-language film library of Latin Anywhere. It is the latest in a string of deals GoDigital has signed, aiming to catapult itself to mainstream status.
The agreement brings Latin Anywhere titles, including niche content like Mexican rodeo, to digital platforms for the first time. It includes all VOD, electronic sell-thru (EST) and pay-per-view rights to more than 600 films in the U.S., and 200+ films globally.
GoDigital offers content to major online video players like Netflix and Hulu, as well as EST outlets like iTunes and Amazon. In addition to the Latin Anywhere coup, it inked a deal wth Adopt Films in January. It also recently acquired Might Entertainment. But the Latin Amywhere deal gives it an exclusive (for now) chip to play.
"The Hispanic demographic in the United States is growing four times faster than the overall population and boasts over $1 trillion in buying power," said GoDigital CEO Logan Mulvey, as quoted in Variety. "We know that having this library of films will ensure that we stay current with the desires of domestic and international audiences."
