Robert Rodríguez to launch a Hispanic channel
Iñaki Ferreras ©RapidTVNews| 24-02-2012 Renowned filmmaker Robert Rodríguez is to launch a cable television channel for the Hispanic community in the US under the name of El Rey (The King).
With a release date of January 2014 and which will be part of the Comcast portfolio, content of the new channel will be in English with films such as 'Machete', 'Sin City', 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico', 'Desperado' and 'Spy Kids'.
Rodríguez has associated with FactoryMade Ventures executives John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa to design a new channel Latino offer including action, fiction and reality, animation series, as well as news, movies, music and sports. Along with El Rey, Comcast announced the creation of another Hispanic channel in English, BabyFirst Americas.
