A new paid MMDS service offering HD channels will launch in the Czech Republic tomorrow (March 1).
According to Parabola, it will be operated by Self Servis and called HD Signal.
HD Signal has been trialled since January and will operate in the DVB-MT band, employing infrastructure previously used by the pay-TV service Spray.
This ceased in early January due to lack of interest from customers.
HD Signal will initially offer viewers a total of eight HD and 19 SD channels.
Self Servis is based in Brno and includes a near-national fibre-optic network named CzechBone among its interests.
