M6's new MMO online game portal Gamechannel.fr is now active and accessible to core and casual gamers.
The website has been built due to a partnership between RTL interactive and M6web and offers browser games free of charge without any need to download or add any software.
The MMO games have been created into various genres such as strategy, action or simulation, with titles ranging from Pirate Galaxy, Steel Legions, Nemexia, Online Football Manager or Supremacy 1914.
The content has been selected by both RTL Interactive and M6 among partner studios such as XS-Software, Upjers and Splitscreen Studios. All games also offer players a social gaming experience and community functionalities.
"Gamechannel.fr is in perfect match with M6 Web strategy in terms of online games. Following the release of society games drawn from TV shows Pékin Express or D&Co and the launch of game website V2, M6jeux.fr, this project allows us to innovate in the sector of MMO games," said Jeremy Prince, Director of M6 Web game unit.
The Gamechannel.de website was launched in Germany last February 2011 and RTL Interactive, which considers online games as a rapid growth market, plans to extend it to new countries.
