Like a number of its compatriots Spanish media group Grupo Vocento has recently reported losses in almost all areas of business of the group.
A fall of advertising, estimated at more than 12%, has been partially mitigated by revenue generated by the company's DTT business which reached €123.2 million in 2011, an improvement of over 9% compared with the previous year.
Looking ahead, Vocento has closed a deal with Viacom International Media Networks to launch a new theme DTT channel for the second quarter of 2012. Vocento expects this release to improve the performance of the audio-visual area of the group.
Currently Vocento does not have any DTT channels since it closed down La 10 last Autumn, but it has rented its DTT space to Viacom International and Disney Channel.
