blinkx breaks 100 million video search barrier

It’s a Happy New Year from advanced video search engine provider blinkx who is claiming to have reached a new audience milestone, surpassing 100 million monthly unique visitors in January 2012.
The total was calculated by comScore who, putting blinkx’s performance into context, reveals that online video reached 34 million internet users in the UK alone during the month, representing 80% of the total national audience. Online video was said to have reached an all-time high with the number of online video ads viewed by Web consumers doubling year on year. Nearly two-thirds (64%) of the online video audience was exposed to video advertising, with the 15-24 age group representing the largest video ad audience in terms of unique viewers and engagement.
