Costa Rica begins DTT

Costa Rica has begun broadcasting on DTT, on national public broadcaster Channel 13 over the ISDB-T standard.

This is the first broadcast channel in the country to make the switch to digital television which is expected to complete in Costa Rica in 2017. For now, the Government will initiate an information campaign for citizens to begin to be equipped with the necessary digital terrestrial decoders.
