European basketball goes global on TV

The Euroleague Final Four tournament, to be held in Istanbul from 11-13 May, will be shown on 66 television networks in 174 countries around the world.
Host broadcaster, NTV Spor of Turkey, has helped upgrade the coverage of the Final Four games and the events surrounding them, according to organisers, Euroleague Basketball. As well as the games, the Final Four official press conferences, the EFES Pilsener Awards Ceremony and the Nike International Junior tournament will be broadcast the first time.
Among those 66 networks, ESPN will bring the action to 101 countries; Setanta and Supersport will reach 43 sub-Saharan African nations; Canal+ will broadcast action exclusively to seven countries in Europe and Africa and non-exclusively to 58 more; Al Jazeera Sport will carry the games to 22 countries and territories in the Middle East; Viasat will serve seven northern European counties; and CCTV, CSPN and Guangdong TV will together reach the Chinese audience.
Fourteen TV networks will be broadcasting live courtside from Sinan Erdem Arena - in 13 different languages. In addition, video highlights, features and interviews from the Final Four can be viewed online at Euroleague.TV.
