nuvoTV kicks off Model Latina in South Beach

nuvoTV's hit series, Model Latina: South Beach kicks off its fifth season with a special hour-long episode at the end of May.

After tackling New York and Las Vegas in the past two seasons, the series returns to the Latino style capital: Miami's South Beach. Ten Latinas will compete for a chance to win a $25,000 cash prize, a role as nuvoTV's spokesperson and a prestigious contract with international modeling agency Q Management.

This season's judges panel will include international heartthrob actor and recording artist Carlos Ponce (Couples Retreat, Alcanzar Una Estrella), Victoria's Secret supermodel Ines Rivero and fashion photographer Franco LaCosta. Puerto-Rican sports reporter and TV personality Jocelyn Pierce will lead the series as the new host.nuvoTV ( is an English-language television network created for American bi-cultural Latinos 18-49, available in major markets including Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Chicago and San Francisco/Bay Area, as well as the entire top 15 Hispanic DMA.

Major distribution partners include AT&T U-verse, Comcast, Cox, Dish Network, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS. Shows like Model Latina have helped the network hold its own against Televisa, Univision and other Latin-focused networks in both Spanish and English.
