Vocento loses 3.3m euros

Vocento, one of Spain’s main media groups, has lost 3.3 million euros in Q1 this year, compared with earnings of 259,000 euros in the same period last year.

In these first months of the year, the company's operating income amounted to 155.8 million euros, 10.4% less than in Q1 2011, while adjusted EBITDA rose by 295.1% to 5.7 million euros.

As for advertising revenue, the company recorded a fall of 16.4% to 50 million euros, and an 8.2% drop in revenues from sales of copies, to 60 million euros.
