Vectra, Poland's third-largest cable operator, has selected SeaChange International's Adrenalin video back office to support the MSO's video-on-demand (VOD) rollout, and future expansion into multi-screen services and social TV.
"Consumers want ever more choice. After extending our digital TV offering with additional channels, VOD is an important first step towards a truly multi-screen video service for our customers," said Tomasz Zuranski, CEO of Vectra.
Vectra provides analogue and digital cable television to more than 800,000 customers in Poland. It offers broadband Internet and fixed telephony, and mobile Internet. The choice of Adrenalin reflects Vectra's ambition to develop multi-screen services, delivering content to PCs, tablets and smartphones.
Adrenalin enables linear and VOD management across multiple devices, and supports time-shifted services including restart TV, catch-up TV and network PVR models. Using an open, service-oriented architecture, video service operators can deliver tens of thousands of video assets to hundreds of device types across multiple networks with a consistent viewing experience. Adrenalin also supports content recommendations and social media capabilities.
Adrenalin is compatible with multiple digital rights management systems and offers opportunities for content monetisation through dynamic targeted advertising, promotions and offer management.
