Eurosport nets Euro 2012 football rights

Sports broadcaster Eurosport will show all 31 games of the upcoming European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine from 8 June to 1 July 2012, time delayed.
The agreement has been reached with the European Football Association, but no financial details have been announced.
The contract covers the transmission in both standard and high definition (HDTV) on Eurosport and Eurosport 2 in 58 countries. As selected games will be repeated, the broadcaster will transmit a total of 230 hours from the tournament.
The 30-minute Euro 2012 Show will accompany the event each evening at 20.00 CET from 7 June 2012. Stefano Bernabino, chief editor at Eurosport International, will analyse the games along with international experts Arsène Wenger (Arsenal FC manager), Rafael Benitez (formerly Liverpool and Internazionale) and former national players Patrick Kluivert (Netherlands), Thomas Berthold (Germany), and Fredi Bobic (Germany).
