The popular South African soap operas Generations and Isidingo will be aired by the MultiChoice pay-TV platform M-Net across sub-Saharan Africa from Monday (28 May).

Following the conclusion of a rights agreement with South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) the AfricaMagic Entertainment channel will now be showing the soaps every day, M-Net Africa's managing director confirmed.

"The fact that we will be screening the latest episodes shortly after the SABC is a great benefit to our audiences," said Biola Alabi. She added that the channel's recent programming shake up and rebranding exercise has received positive feedback from "patient" viewers.

Generations, which follows the lives of African advertising executives, will be screened on AfricaMagic Entertainment from Monday to Friday at 9.30pm CAT, with repeats the following weekday at 1pm CAT.

Isidingo, which is set in a mining village, will be screened on AfricaMagic Entertainment from Monday to Friday at 10pm CAT, with repeats the following weekday at 4pm CAT.

Viewers of both soaps will be able to watch an omnibus of the week's episodes on Saturday afternoons.
