Viewdini escapes into commercial availability

Less than teo weeks after announcing its existence, Verizon Wireless is making its Viewdini video app available via Android 2.2 and up and Google Play on 4G LTE smartphones and tablets as a first launch.
Viewdini is like a video assistant--it allows users to simply type in a few letters to browse and search video from a range of services, including Comcast Xfinity, Netflix, Hulu, CBS, mSpot and, soon, Verizon FiOS. Once presented with the results, and pricing, users can also click to view from directly inside the app. It's smart enough to know what services a customer is subscribed to as well.
The service also offers metadata-related perks like reviews and ratings, filmographies, related offerings and so on.
The aggregation capability may be a compelling offer, but subscribers should be warned that the service does count against Verizon's data caps.
