Spain’s central regional broadcaster Castilla-La Mancha Television will start broadcasting in HDTV on one of its channels from 1 July.

The cost of this transformation is said to be ‘minimal’, namely €30,000, according to the channel’s executives. Tests have already begun for the HDTV channel.

Castilla-La Mancha TV was Spain’s first regional public broadcaster to become private, in line with the Government’s plan to privatize as many as the public regional TV companies as possible due to their high debts.
