Australia's Network Ten and Fairfax Media have announced a partnership that will see full catch-up episodes of MasterChef Australia Season 4 distributed immediately after TV broadcast through Fairfax Metro Media's suite of websites.

The episodes will appear in the Masterchef Australia catch-up blog published daily on smh.com.au, theage.com.au, brisbanetimes.com.au and watoday.com.au and full episodes from the entire season will be available for viewers to watch on demand through Fairfax's VOD websites www.smh.tv, www.theage.tv, www.watoday.tv and www.dailylife.tv

Network Ten’s COO Jon Marquard said: “Video views on www.masterchef.com.au are already tracking 12% higher than last year. This exciting partnership with Fairfax extends our digital reach, so even more people will have the opportunity to taste MasterChef Australia.

“Viewers want the ability to use catch-up across a range of platforms. This relationship will allow viewers to use the Fairfax websites as well as our MasterChef Australia website to ensure they don’t miss an episode and can keep up to date with the show.”

“The syndication agreement with Fairfax Media is only the first step in Ten’s strategy to broaden its digital reach through strategic partnerships with major digital brands in the Australian market. Our goal is to allow audiences to consume Ten’s content wherever they are, not just on Ten’s own digital platforms.”

Fairfax Media's head of video, Ricky Sutton, added: "Giving Fairfax audiences the ability to catch up with MasterChef Australia episodes straight after they have been broadcast is a great addition to the depth and quality of our digital content.

"Adding the entire season’s shows to our growing .tv business is also a boon, as they boost our growing catalogue of more than 1,000 TV programmes across nearly 50 genres already available."

So far this year, there have been over 3.4 million video views recorded on www.masterchef.com.au
