Orange Polska, formerly Telekomunikacja Polska, has launched a new IPTV and DTH pay-TV service based on a common platform developed by Viaccess-Orca.

The new Orange TV proposition is part of Orange Polska’s multi-screen content strategy, and is designed to provide a more personalised and consistent TV-centric end-user experience on all devices.
The new deployment with Orange Polska shortly follows a large deployment recently announced by Orange TV in France migrating to a new multi-network and multi-screen TV middleware platform with content protection services from Viaccess-Orca.
The technology firm, who has just officially merged its assets from its constituent parties under one umbrella, has supplied Orange TV with a unified TV Everywhere service platform which includes the service delivery platform, content discovery, conditional access system and native multi-screen solution. It is adapted for IPTV, OTT delivery and hybrid services, combining different delivery modes. Indeed the system is being acclaimed as the “most technologically advanced TV platform within the France Telecom Group” offering the firm’s only universal STB. Orange Polska has also given additional functionalities to its DTH customers.
