ESPN to launch 3D Olympics content for DirecTV

American sports broadcaster ESPN is to launch 3D content for the DirecTV satellite pay-TV operator, on the occasion of the London Olympics.
The News Corp-owned pay satellite platform, along with the ESPN sports channel, will offer special 3D coverage, featuring five events on this technology, the 2012 London Olympics.
Access to this programming is done via the ESPN-3D exclusively to DirecTV subscribers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela have the DirecTV Plus HD product.
Thus, the HDTV service ​​platform will give access to six channels dedicated 24 hours a day, the Olympics-2, also available in HD, plus two channels and five interactive 3D events.
