CNBC strengthens partnership in Japan

CNBC has expanded its partnership in Japan with a new deal starting on 1 July 2012.

The arrangement will see Nikkei-CNBC representing CNBC for advertising out of Japan onto CNBC’s global broadcast network in the US, Asia, EMEA and on CNBC’s digital properties including and mobile apps.

Nikkei-CNBC, part of Nikkei Inc, will develop advertising opportunities in Japan for clients who would like to connect with business decision makers across a range of industry sectors via CNBC’s global platform.

 Nikkei-CNBC is a business and financial news television channel broadcast in Japan.

“CNBC is pleased to be able to build on its collaboration with Nikkei group, one of the largest and most prominent media companies in Japan,” said Satpal Brainch, president and MD of CNBC International.

“In partnership with Nikkei-CNBC, we aim to provide easier access to advertisers in Japan to reach CNBC’s highly influential and affluent audience.”
