UbiQ Paris focuses on viewer engagement and gamification

The first digital entertainment showcase UbiQ Paris wrapped up last week after attracting more than 700 participants coming from 30 countries. The showcase highlighted the best practices in social media.
Exchanges were mostly centered on viewer engagement and gamification as key trends in the relationship between consumers and the digital and on-demand world.
The UbiQ format is based on ten to 15-minute presentations featuring case studies or winning strategies that addressed how to capture, engage, monetize and measure ROI. The full conference programme included keynote speakers including Randi Zuckerberg, former marketing director of Facebook and current CEO of R to Z Studios Inc, Doug Scott, president of Ogilvy Entertainment, Jean-François Rodriguez, head of Gaming and Transmedia at Orange, and Eric Klinker, CEO of BitTorrent. According to Zuckerberg, consumers’ actions will be best driven by ways of introducing game challenges into digital communication.
