France Télévisions launches 3D Olympics channel on Orange TV

France Télévisions, the exclusive free to air (FTA) host of the 2012 London will also broadcast for the first time the worldwide sporting event in 3D.

French PSB group will launch a dedicated 3DTV channel francetvsport 3D on ADSL platform Orange TV from July 28th to August 12th. It will be accessible by broadband ADSL, fibre or satellite viewers equipped with a 3DTV set.

Available on channel 333, the channel will have a daily coverage of the competition from 10:00 to 23:00. A total of more than 200 programming hours in 3D will be broadcast.

FTV’s regular channels France 2, France 3, France 4 and France O, will for their part offer 300 programming hours.
