    Toure in Turkey talks

We are working hard to secure a deal, says Bursaspor boss

Kolo Toure: Attracting interest from Bursaspor and could be tempted to leave City

Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is in talks with Bursaspor over a move to Turkey.
Toure was a 16million arrival from Arsenal three years ago but has failed to recover a first-team spot since a six-month ban for failing a drugs test, blamed on his wife's slimming products.
The 31-year-old did make enough appearances to qualify for a Premier League title winner's medal last term as City ended their 44-year wait for the championship.

But with skipper Vincent Kompany and England's Joleon Lescott now established as manager Roberto Mancini's first-choice pairing, Toure is considering a move.
Bursaspor, where England goalkeeper Scott Carson is already on the books, have emerged as a suitor with manager Ertugrul Saglam claiming it would be a huge transfer for the club.
"We have been in talks with Kolo Toure over the past two days - it would be one of the most important transfers to be completed by an Anatolian side," Saglam told Dogan News Agency.

"Obviously nothing is certain until he signs pen to paper, however we are working hard to try finalise a deal."
Toure's exit would leave City with only Stefan Savic as specialist centre-back cover, although Micah Richards could switch to a central role.
While a replacement may come in, the departure of a big earner would help meet UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules at a time when the club is still looking to bring high-profile players in.

    Tevez back on AC agenda

    Argentine wanted by Milan
    Last Updated: July 13, 2012 8:28am

Carlos Tevez: Was wanted by AC Milan in January

AC Milan are set to renew their interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, Sky Sports understands.
In one of the true sagas of last season, Tevez spent most of the campaign on the sidelines after his public falling out with coach Roberto Mancini.

Milan tried and failed to sign him in January, before he returned to the City squad and helped them to their maiden Premier League title.
But now with Milan ready to cash in close to 50million with the sale of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint Germain, they are ready to come back for Tevez.

Tevez has insisted he is happy at the Etihad, but City want to bolster their striking options and would consider selling the Argentine.
Whilst AC have the 28-year-old as their top target they could turn their attention to Tevez's team-mate Edin Dzeko, should they fail to land the South American.

    Walker - Modric is important

But there's strength in depth at Spurs, claims 22-year-old full-back
    Last Updated: July 13, 2012 8:14am

Kyle Walker: Has praised Luka Modric but is backing Spurs to make the right decision

Kyle Walker admits it is up to the Tottenham chairman to decide whether Luka Modric stays but is in no doubt about the player's importance.
Modric has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer and chairman Daniel Levy appears ready to cash in on the 26-year-old and allow Andre Villas-Boas money to reshape the squad.

Spurs right-back Walker is confident the right decision will be made but is full of praise for the playmaker.
Walker told Sky Sports News: "Luka is a Tottenham player as it stands right now so that's up to Luka, the gaffer and the chairman - whatever they think is the best thing for the club.
"Obviously all the lads think he is a quality player and a valuable player to the team. But like I say, it's not for me to comment on that, it's up to them."
    Creative

Spurs fought hard to keep Modric last summer despite interest from Chelsea and Walker feels the Croatian midfielder showed with his displays last season why it was so important he stayed at the club.
"The chairman made it quite clear we are not a selling club so it was very important he stayed," added Walker.
"Obviously Scotty (Parker) is sitting mopping up in front of the defence, but Luka is our creative midfielder so it was very important.
"But we have got bags of midfielders, bags of players who can do that - Rafa (van der Vaart), what a player he is. So I think there's strength in depth at Tottenham.
"But like I say, it's the gaffer and chairman's decision and it doesn't matter what I say."

    Inter set for busy summer

Moratti to buy, sell and hang on to stars

Lucas Moura: Inter Milan admit interest in Braziliam playmaker

Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in Lucas, reiterated their desire to keep Wesley Sneijder, and hinted at the sale of Maicon and Giampaolo Pazzini.
Lucas Moura is one of the hottest properties this summer, and is also reportedly attracting the interest of Manchester United as Sao Paulo continue to hold out for around 30million for the playmaker.

United are also amongst the names continuously linked with Inter's own playmaker Wesley Sneijder, but club president Massimo Moratti has vowed to keep hold of the Dutchman.
    Fundamental

He said: "I think he's a fundamental player for us, despite the attentions of other clubs.
If he is true to his word then Inter could have two of the most sought after creative players in their ranks, should their move for Lucas pay off.
Moratti said of the Brazilian: "He has great attributes. We like him a lot as a player.
"It's not always possible to sign everyone that you'd like to, but we will try and move forwards with that deal.
    Sales

"There are also sales to do, then we will see what the coach needs."
And two players who could be on their way out of the San Siro, however are Maicon and Pazzini.
Maicon has been linked with Chelsea but Moratti seemed reluctant to let him go.
"He is one of the strongest players, but we will see," he added.
"As for Pazzini, when he's in form he scores goals.
"But there are also technical and tactical needs that mean that we have to sell certain players."

    Thebaux joins Brest

Goalkeeper signs two-year deal after fee is agreed with Caen

Alexis Thebaux: Has joined Brest as a replacement for Steeve Elana

Brest have signed Caen goalkeeper Alexis Thebaux to fill the void left by Steeve Elana's departure to Lille.
The 27-year-old has signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year after a fee reported to be in excess of 1million euros (790,000) was agreed.

Thebaux was with the Normandy club for five years prior to their relegation last season.
He becomes Brest's seventh summer signing, following defenders Ismael Traore and Bernard Mendy, midfielders Kamel Chafni, Geoffrey Dernis and Abdou Sissoko and forward Charlison Benschop.

    Premier interest in Davies

Norwich, West Ham and Reading eyeing Birmingham defender

Curtis Davies: Birmingham defender is attracting interest from Premier League sides

Birmingham's Curtis Davies could be set for a return to the top flight with three Premier League sides tracking the defender.
Sky Sports understands there is interest in the 27-year-old centre-back from Norwich, managed by Davies' former boss Chris Hughton, with newly-promoted clubs West Ham and Reading also believed to be monitoring his situation.

As yet, no club has made their interest concrete in the form of an official bid.
But with the player himself keen to return to the Premier League football and Birmingham anxious to cut costs, a deal may be done this summer.
Davies is under contract with Blues until 2014 after joining from city rivals Aston Villa in January 2011.

    Blues to bag Ambrose

Clark closes on fourth new arrival
    Last Updated: July 13, 2012 12:33pm

Darren Ambrose: Set to become Birmingham's fourth signing of the summer

Sky Sports understands Birmingham are poised to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose.
Blues boss Lee Clark has made a move to bring Ambrose to St Andrew's as he looks to bolster his squad.

A number of other clubs were thought to be chasing the former Newcastle and Charlton man, but Birmingham have stolen a march on their rivals.
Palace have reluctantly agreed to sell Ambrose with the player entering the final year of his contract.
Ambrose is expected to finalise his switch to St Andrew's soon and will become the club's fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Peter Lovenkrands, Hayden Mullins and David Lucas.

    Lennon hoping for Stokes stay

Hoops boss wants to keep hold of frontman
    Last Updated: July 13, 2012 12:29pm

Anthony Stokes: Out of contract at Parkhead next summer

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed he is keen for Anthony Stokes to stay at Parkhead amid speculation over the striker's future.
The 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been at the Scottish Premier League club since 2010 but is out of contract next summer.
Lennon hopes he can keep the former Arsenal youngster after he helped the Hoops to the title last term.
"I've not heard a thing about other clubs being interested. He had a great season last year," he told the Daily Express.
    Improve

"He's still young - still only 23 - even though he's been around the British game for what seems a lot longer.
"There is scope for him to improve. He's a goalscorer and I wouldn't be in too big a hurry to let him go."
But Lennon was also realistic about the prospect of selling Stokes if a new deal could not be arranged so the forward does not leave for free in 12 months' time.

"He's in the last year of his contract and that's something we'll be looking at over the next few weeks once we get back and talk things through," he said.
"Every player has his price and Anthony would be no different in that regard. But 21 goals last year speaks for itself."

    Gala confirm Altintop deal

Midfielder set to join Turkish club from Real Madrid
    Last Updated: July 13, 2012 12:14pm

Hamit Altintop: Set for Galatasaray move from Real Madrid

Turkish giants Galatasaray have confirmed an agreement to sign midfielder Hamit Altintop from Real Madrid on a four-year deal.
The Turkey international is set to make the move to his homeland after failing to impress at the Bernabeu last season.

Altintop appeared just nine times for the Primera Liga champions after joining from Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer, signing a four-year deal.
He announced at the end of May he had agreed a move to Galatasaray and the Turkish outfit confirmed the deal on Friday.
A statement on the club's official website said: "We have reached an agreement for four seasons with Real Madrid player Hamit Altintop, starting from 2012-2013 season."

Reports suggest Galatasaray will pay the Spanish giants €3.5million for Altintop, whose twin brother Halil plays in the Super Lig for Trabzonspor.
It will mark the first time the German-born midfielder has played for a Turkish club.
