Carlos Slim launches IPTV channel

Telco America Móvil, owned by Carlos Slim, has launched Ora.TV, the internet television network available in the US, which has begun transmissions with a talk show hosted by Larry King.

Mexico’s richest man has been working all year to enter the online TV business and has forged an alliance with the Hulu OTT service. The channel is available through various devices such as computers, smartphones and smart TV.

John Housman, former president of Digital Journalism at Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp is the executive chosen by Slim to drive the chain.
