sportdigital secures Premier League rights

German sports broadcaster sportdigital has added another international football league to its line-up: The pay-TV channel has secured the live broadcast rights of the Scottish Premier League for the 2012/13 season.

Kick-off will be on 4 August 2012 with the match between current champion Celtic Glasgow and Aberdeen which sportdigital will transmit live from 13.40 CET.

The channel plans to screen up to 60 live games in the 2012/13 season. From next week, sportdigital will show two matches per week live on average. There will also be a weekly 30-minute highlights programme.
