Veria announces four new healthy lifestyle shows

TV content producer Veria Living Wordwide, devoted to showcasing healthy lifestyle and wellness programming, will be unveiling four new original series during MIPCOM, it said.

In addition to offering programming blocks featuring 200-plus hours of fitness shows and 150 hours of cooking shows, Veria Living Worldwide will unveil Myth Defying with Dr. Holly, What Would Julienna Do?, Kitchen Cures with Peggy K and Yoga Sutra Now with Jai Sugrim.

In the new series, natural medicine expert Dr. Holly will break down the myths and misconceptions about various health and health-related topics, with a goal of separating facts, fiction and fads.

Meanwhile Julieanna Hever, an author and advocate of the benefits of following a whole food, plant-based diet, will share tips within a talk-show format on such topics as getting kids to eat better, treating menopause, rekindling the marriage spark getting back in shape for a high school reunion.

In Kitchen Cures, egistered holistic nutritionist, health educator and culinary consultant Peggy Kotsopoulos prepares healthy and delicious dishes, and lastly, certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher Jai Sugrim combines physical asana practice with a master class in understanding the origins of every pose, movement, breathing technique, meditative focus, nutritional habit and thought process.

"Veria Living Worldwide is now in the position of being able to offer broadcasters 'viewer-tested' programming in topic-centric blocks ranging from fitness to healthy cooking to help them enhance their key dayparts," said Raymond Donahue, senior vice president and head of programme sales for Veria Living Worldwide.

The series were produced at the company's New York City production studios.
