AT&T has announced that Mobile Share plan users will be able to make Apple FaceTime video calls for no extra charge on the carrier's 3G network.
The Mobile Share plan will launch at the end of August and the benefit is meant to act as a lure to switch to the new plan.
"AT&T will offer FaceTime over cellular as an added benefit of our new Mobile Share data plans, which were created to meet customers' growing data needs at a great value," the company said in a statement. "With Mobile Share, the more data you use, the more you save. FaceTime will continue to be available over Wi-Fi for all our customers."
FaceTime, of course doesn't count against a cellular data plan when used via a Wi-Fi connection.
The Mobile Share data plan is AT&T's shared data plan that consumers can apply across multiple devices, targeted at families.
