Sky Germany secures Tele München movie package

German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has purchased a movie package from German rights dealer Tele München Gruppe.
The agreement of which financial details have not been disclosed covers the exclusive pay-TV rights on current films and older titles.
The deal will enable Sky to show many cinema releases as TV debuts in Germany and Austria, for example the new Steve Soderbergh film "Magic Mike", the second part of the final of the "Twilight" franchise "The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn - Part 2", the new Asterix film "Astérix & Obélix - God save Britannia" with Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu, the movie adaption of Jack Kerouac classic "On the Road" as well as the new Robert Redford film "The Company You Keep".
The package also comprises classic movies such as "Dirty Dancing", "Tomb Raider", "Universal Soldier", "Total Recall" and "Scary Movie".
In addition to its linear movie channels, Sky can also show the films on-demand and on mobile devices through its entertainment services Sky Anytime and Sky Go.
