U.S.-based hotel IPTV provider TiVUS has kicked off its expansion in the Asia Pacific region, where the top ten hotel chains have cumulated a total inventory of more than 770,000 rooms under management as of 2011.

The region will likely add another one million rooms in the next three-to-five years, TiVUS noted. To get ready, the company said it has already secured several regional content licences for premium content distribution, and it plans to leverage TV advertising innovation to capture top-line revenue.
"This region will be a very lucrative source of revenue for TiVUS," said Shiva Prakash, TiVUS' CEO. "The Asia Pacific region is a multilingual market with diversified guest profiles. TiVUS ad-insertion technology with built-in business intelligence is a perfect match for such markets."
Initially the Asia Pacific operations will be based in New Delhi India. Additionally, TiVUS expects to announce new team members and additional contracts from the Asia Pacific region.
