Every little helps for Electric Sky as it launches on blinkbox

Indie content distributor Electric Sky has confirmed a major partnership deal with Tesco-owned UK digital online video platform blinkbox.
Specialising in quality factual programme distribution and rights-management, the UK and Hong Kong based firm is to supply blinkbox with 25 five hours’ worth of including Olympics title Going for Green: Britain's 2012 DreambyDarlow Smithson Productions; history series presented by Rory McGrathKiller Queens by Imago Productions for ITV; documentary The Guccis – The Last Fashion Victim byStudio Z Productions for FIVE; and Fashion Avenue with Jodie Kidd series 3.
The deal is regarded as something as a coup as Tesco strives to make blinkbox the UK's leading on-demand movie streaming service in a market that has taken off dramatically over the last few months thanks to service introductions by LOVEFiLM and Netflix among others.
Commenting on the deal, Mario Cerna, Sales Executive for Electric Sky digital platforms said: “We are delighted to become content partners with blinkbox. As part of our multiplatform distribution strategy, Electric Sky embraces digital opportunities as extremely important and fast-growing sources of revenue.”
