Marca TV hits highest ever score

Unidad Editorial’s sports channel Marca TV is celebrating its second anniversary with the best day in its history grabbing a 2.2% average market share.
Key to the success has been the broadcast of football in the ‘Liga Adelante’ and ‘Futboleros’ programmes and the channel has boasted a peak of 309,000 people (3.0%).
The second week of the ‘Liga Adelante’ started with the Andalusian derby XEREZ v Almeria, which scored a 2% of share with 204,000 viewers on average. On Saturday, 318,000 spectators watched the Sporting Gijon-Murcia clash. In Asturias, the channel registered a 18.5% share, beating general channels as Telecinco (13.8%), La 1 (12.4%) and Antena 3 (11.3%). In Murcia, the channel also scored a 9.2% share.
In addition, Marca TV recorded its best results through both legs of Second Valencian derby between Hércules-Elche (with 323,000 viewers and 3.3%) and Cordoba-Racing , which ranks as the most watched match of the season 2012-2013 (388,000 viewers).
