Spanish broadband operator Bona Netto has chosen SmartLabs to drive its goal to develop the company's interactive television business particularly for the supply and implementation of an integrated solution for IPTV and OTT.
SmartLabs develops service delivery platforms for interactive digital television (IPTV, OTT, hybrid TV), advanced client applications and user interfaces and next generation set-top boxes.
The main component of its new deployment is SmartTUBE SDP, a converged service delivery platform. Also, SmartLabs will deliver SML-282 Base and SML-292 Premium STBs to the operator. SmartLabs solution will provide the operator with all the features needed to drive its interactive TV services.
Currently, Bona Netto offers online access and IP telephony services and by enhancing these services with the TV offering, the operator believes that it can provide a complete triple-play package. With the SmartLabs solution, the operator plans to empower its existing corporate customers with high-quality IPTV services, and residential customers with modern OTT services.
