Endemol and ITV Studios France beef up production

The respective Paris subsidiaries of ITV Studios and Endemol have both added new expertise to their line-up.

Endemol France is to create a new drama label called Leonis, developed by Jean-Benoit Gillig. The producer, who has just split from Gaumont Group where he piloted affiliate Gaumont-Léonis, will develop daytime and primetime projects of series, alongside event TV movies and international co-productions, reporting to Nicolas Coppermann, recently appointed Managing Director of Endemol Fiction, in parallel to his post of Managing Director of Endemol France. Endemol is already the home of another label called Les Films de la Prod, and is aiming to use drama to drive a fifth of its global revenues.

For its part ITV Studios France has integrated producer Mathieu Hucher as Director for magazines and factual programming. He will specifically supervise the production of Factual programming local French-language versions and the development of new magazine TV projects. Mathieu Hucher formerly worked for production house Coyote.
