RTL is in August the number 1 among young viewers
In Olympia month August 2012 RTL was at 13.8 percent market share once again the most popular German television among young viewers (14 to 49). The transmitter is placed, 3.3 percentage points ahead of ProSieben (10.5%), followed by Sat.1 (9.1%), German (8.3%), ZDF (8.0%) and VOX (7, 9%). In total viewers RTL achieved 10.5 percent market share, down behind the public broadcasters ARD (13.5%) and ZDF (13.0%). Among 20 - to 59-year-old viewers, RTL secured with 12.9 percent market share in first place, followed by German (10%), ZDF (9.9%), SAT 1 (9.6%) and VOX (7.9%).
The transmitter of the Media Group RTL Germany (RTL, VOX, n-tv, RTL Nitro, Super RTL, RTL II) arrived in August for a young audience (14-49) combined 31.9 percent market share and were thus 5.7 percentage points from the channels of ProSiebenSat.1 (26.2%).
