Hadopi anti-piracy agency faces challenge

The French Authority Hadopi, created by the previous government to fight illegal internet contents downloads, is being threatened threatened by the new administration which plans to reduce its €12 million budget.

Over the last two years, Hadopi has taken only 14 cases to justice, and no decision has been taken yet. But Hadopi is defending its action, despite harsh comments from new Minister of Culture and Communication Aurélie Filipeti.
