Leading Spanish cable operator Ono’s decision to remove Eurosport and Eurosport 2 from its television offer has sparked anger among subscribers.
Ono’s subscribers have begun a Facebook campaign to express their dissatisfaction with the conduct of the operator which will not show prestigious sports events such as the African Cup of Nations football tournament, the Giro d'Italia, the Roland Garros and the U.S. Open Tennis. They did not receive any prior notice of the disappearance.
The cable operator’s customers have given the thumbs down to the inclusion of channel Trace Sports which is replacing Eurosport and Eurosport 2, despite having no Spanish version.
