French broadcasting group ABsat will launch before the end of this year a DTH satellite offer dedicated to sub-Saharan Africa.

Called TV Sat Africa, the bouquet will comprise some 60 channels, split roughly equally between French and African content.

The group intends to aggressively expand to the African market with 3.50 monthly fee, revealed ABsat President Jean-Michel Fava. Over the course of time, the bouquet will be commercialised into countries, but will kick off into four countries first.
