Significant rise in Brazilian pay-TV

Ad spending on Brazil’s pay-TV stations grew 17.9% in the first half 2012, and reached R$580 million, (about $ 282 million), according to data from Projeto Inter-Media.
Online TV in particular grew strong recording a 64.8% year on year increase in revenues to R$738 million ($360 million) and a 5.1% share, compared with a market share of 4.06 % for subscription TV.
