Grand-AM racing goes multiscreen with mobile video app

Grand-AM Road Racing is embracing multiscreen with new mobile and tablet video applications for video streaming.

Fans can watch race highlight videos after each event the same day as the original broadcast, featuring graphics and commentary. Along with race highlights, fans can check out segments such as Tech Talk, Point of View and Team Profiles. Plus, the addition of the new Grand-AM TV feature includes all race broadcasts for both the Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge commercial–free, available three days after the original broadcast.

It's partnered with XOS Digital to develop the platform. "We're empowered to provide unparalleled video quality for busy fans on the go," said Ed Bennett, Grand-AM president and CEO. "Additionally, our new mobile app is a great complement to our revamped website, and provides fans with a compelling interactive experience regardless of their location."

The redesigned website provides increased on-demand access to video and race archive content. In addition, the new site enables visitors to experience live radio streaming broadcasts on race day along with live timing and scoring statistics. Users also can interact with the content via social networking sites linked directly on the Grand-AM home page, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Initially available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices, the apps provide access to Grand-AM TV and a raft of additional features like breaking news, schedules and standings, drivers and teams, live event timing and scoring.
