Portuguese DTT dogged with reception problems

Five months after Portugal’s analogue switch off there are still areas with poor reception of DTT services, not allowing full-time viewing of the four national channels.
This has been found to be particularly the case in the area of Santiago Cacém (Alvalade, Cercal, Ermidas-Sado, São Bartolomeu da Serra, Sao Domingos and Water Valley ), where there is poor reception in days with adverse weather conditions. It is also the case of thousands of homes in parishes around Viana do Castelo (Vila Praia de Ancora, Afife, Carreço and Areosa), because they are in areas where there is fundamentally no terrestrial coverage.
