Chellomedia buys into Cosmopolitan TV

The international content division of Liberty Global, Chellomedia, has bought into Cosmopolitan TV, the channel operated through a joint venture with Hearst Corporation, which formerly held 50% of the shares.
Cosmo TV Latin America is a 24-hour channel in movies, and lifestyle series for Spanish-speaking young women in the region. Launched in March 2002, it now reaches more than 10 million homes via satellite and cable TV.Cosmo TV will continue to operate as part of the portfolio of channels in the region has Chellomedia. The Cosmopolitan brand will continue to operate under a license from Hearst Corporation.
For its part the Latin America Chello catalogue includes movie channels, entertainment and lifestyle. Its catalogue includes movie channels, entertainment and lifestyle such as MGM Latin America, The Gourmet Arts and Film & TV. Distribution of this combined portfolio reaches more than 90 million homes (including MGM Latin America).We are committed to growth and will work with Cosmo TV operators in the region to offer this unique and popular programming to a wider audience.
