German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Germany has expanded the line-up of its over-the-top service Sky Go.
The customers of Sky Go who have subscribed to Sky's football Bundesliga package can now receive coverage of Germany's first and second division football league on Apple's iPhone.
In addition to live games, the offering contains Sky's football shows "Sky90", "Samstag LIVE!" and "Mein Stadion". To access the service, a Wi-Fi internet connection is required.
The Bundesliga matches have so far been available – next to the regular TV distribution – on the internet, the Xbox 360 and through Wi-Fi on the iPad.
From the 2013/14 season, Sky will also distribute the Bundesliga through 3G mobile networks for the iPhone and iPad. The pay-TV operator secured the mobile TV rights which are currently in the hands of Deutsche Telekom as part of its new Bundesliga rights contract.
