Armenia looking at possible satellite launch

Armenia may be looking to launch its own satellite, according to local reports.

Transport and communication minister Gagik Beglaryan has reportedly opened discussions on sharing the 71.4° East position with the Russian Space Agency, with Russian company Geyser Telecom conducting a feasibility study.

Armenian national TV currently broadcasts via Eutelsat’s platforms at 13° East and 36° East.
