Cablemas to offer quadruple play

Mexico’s cable operator Cablemás, formed from the acquisition of Lusacell by Televisa, has announced its intention to commercialise in 2013 quadruple play packages, including mobile, fixed, Internet and pay-TV.
Cablemás is the largest operator in the Televisa stable with nearly 1.8 million customers in states such as Chihuahua, Oaxaca, Morelos, Guerrero, Veracruz and San Luis Potosi.
The news comes after Cablemás and other pay-TV operators affiliated with the producer PCTV had been in conflict with TV Azteca over the failure to agree on the payment of a fee that operators should pay the latter for retransmission of their signals.
