KnowHow goes Dolby on LG and Samsung

Selected new LG and Samsung Smart TVs sold by Currys and PC World stores in the UK will come with KnowHow Movies pre-loaded.

Dixons Retail’s KnowHow Movies service with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound goes live on selected LG and Samsung TVs in the UK.
A new range of LG and Samsung smart TVs will come pre-loaded with KnowHow Movies, the digital entertainment service from Dixons Retail (owner of the UK’s electrical retailers Currys and PC World).

Having debuted on PCs and Macs, the service expanded onto mobile devices (including iPhones and iPads) and LG’s 2012 smart TVs and is now available on Samsung’s Smart platform. Users can access movies on their main screen on-demand and subscription-free.

There is a wide range of titles available with new releases priced at £3.99 to rent and £12.99 to buy and catalogue titles priced from £2.99 to rent and from £5.99 to buy.
TV shows are also available from £2.49 and there are regular special offers.
