Film fans in Singapore can now watch Bollywood and regional Indian movies on their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with Spuul.com’s free app for streaming Indian movies.
With the app’s new ‘in-app purchase’ feature users can now easily sign up for a monthly premium subscription for mobile movie viewing.
The premium service on Spuul, which is US$4.99 per month was, until recently, only available via the web. Payments are processed via the user’s iTunes account. Premium subscription gives users unlimited access to all free and premium movies, on a monthly basis.
Michael Smith, chief product officer at Spuul, said: “With the in-app purchase users can instantly sign up for our premium subscription with three easy taps. We believe this feature will drive greater interaction with the app and make our movies even more accessible to users.
“The Spuul app addresses a critical need for easy access to Indian content. Over 70% of Spuul’s current users stream movies on mobile and since the launch of the in-app feature, we’ve seen subscribers increase by almost 150%. We are delighted that users are enthusiastically embracing our app.”
The iOS app’s resume function allows users to save and recall playback position between different devices. The easy-to-use search function simplifies the discovery of content and helps deliver a stellar entertainment experience for movie watchers.
Developed internally, the app supports any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch device running iOS version 4.3 or later.
