East Stroudsburg redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Soltes gained 666 yards of total offense on Saturday — the most by a freshman in any division and the 10th-most all-time in college football history — as the Warriors won 45-37 at LIU Post. Soltes was 26-for-42 for 535 yards passing and five touchdowns, and ran for 131 yards on 12 carries. He led an ESU offense that set the PSAC record with 828 total yards. The Warriors are the first team in PSAC history to gain more than 800 yards in a single game.

Jasper Mason recorded a career and team season-high 21 tackles in a three-point win for Mars Hill. Eleven of his stops were solo. He added a sack and a tackle for loss as Mars Hill outlasted Tusculum 23-20 in overtime on Saturday.

Concordia-St. Paul Athletics

Concordia-St. Paul sophomore kicker Tom Obarski delivered a 59-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to spark a comeback attempt for the Golden Bears. Obarski broke the school record that he set last year in his first collegiate game by three yards and now owns the longest three kicks in school history and has hit the longest field goal in the NSIC in back-to-back seasons. He’s made field goals of 59 and 52 yards this year, and had a 56-yarder in 2011. The 59-yarder is the longest in Division II this season.
