Leading LatAm satellite operator TuVes, who provides HD satellite TV in five countries in Latin America, is looking for a business partner in Colombia to expand its presence.
TuVes HD is looking to offer cable operators in particular the chance to access new markets through a differentiated service based on HD PVR set top boxes (STBs).
"The proposal is to transport a set of satellite signals with SD and HDTV content, made available to cable operators, telecommunications or [others] who want to enter the satellite television market, so [they] can build [their] own satellite pay-TV service with their own brand, programming schedule and marketing strategy, "explained Jose Esteban Saez, director of Latin American Business.
Added TuVes HD commercial manager Erika Castillo Tapia: "Our latest agreement with Venezuela Inter allowed the company to offer television [everywhere]. This is a solution that provides a full programming schedule with all local signals and robust encryption system of satellite television signals, allowing services that have not been [pirated] …We provide companies interested in entering the business of satellite pay-TV, the latest in satellite platform services and our extensive experience in the region."
