Switzerland's largest cable operator UPC Cablecom has recorded strong growth in Q3 2012 for its triple play services, with the main increase coming from digital television.
The number of digital TV customers rose by 27,500 to a total of 689,300 between July and September 2012, while the total number of cable customers climbed by 5,000 to 1.5 million.
For its Internet subscriptions, the subsidiary of US media company Liberty Global counted an increase by 11,300 to a total of 591,900 customers, while the number of telephone customers rose by 16,300 to 402,200 customers.
The Zurich-based company expects strong growth in the next months, particularly for its broadband Internet services as a new high-speed product offering up to 150Mbps in download speed will soon be introduced.
