Fibre reaches 1.3 million Dutch homes

According to the latest research, Fibre-to-the-Home (FttH) networks now reach 18% of all Dutch homes.
The FttH Platform Nederland has published the latest review of the state of glass fibre penetration in the country.
The platform expect the number to grow to 1.5 million before the end of the year, when 20% of all Dutch hones will be passed by cable. 40% of sll Dutch cities now have FttH networks.
The figure denotes homes passed, not actual subscriber figures. However, the new FttH providers are proving to be a challenger to the traditional cable networks.
